About iamWe

iamWe Prison Advocacy Network is a grassroots, Human Rights organization dedicated to promoting religious tolerance, prisoner rights, and human kindness.

iamWE is committed to educating on the effects of racism and classism that has led to a disproportionate number of Blacks (New Afrikans) imprisonment.. We recognize and address the impact of prisons on Brown people, Indigenous peoples, and poor Whites.

iamWe encourages all prisoners to find their life purpose, through life skill curriculums and personal spiritual development. iamWe is dedicated to advocating for Politicized Prisoners, Political Prisoners, and for the dismantling of the prison industrial slave complex.

iamWe Prisoners Advocacy Network was cofounded by human rights activists to address the US imprisonment, the inhumane treatment of prisoners, to assist prisoners and their loved ones.

Based upon the concept of Ubuntu, an Afrikan social philosophy, the word Ubuntu originates from the Bantu language and unlike the Western social foundation based upon individualism, Ubuntu is founded in a great human philosophy of interconnectedness.

At the core of Ubuntu, are the fundamental principles of social justice and accountability. Ubuntu is also spiritual, for its principals are central to the essence of all religions.
"Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put all together that overwhelm  the world."
- Desmond Tutu

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."- Martin Luther King, Jr.
